Chorisol – Open-air music event in Medellin

A group of musicians based in Medellin will be hosting a festive, open-air, all-day event at a farm outside the city on Saturday December 19.

The event, named ‘Chorisol’, is taking place in the town of Llanogrande, close to Medellin’s international airport in Rionegro. It will be an all day affair beginning at 2PM and there will be food and cheap alcohol on sale as well as a huge sound system.

Everybody is welcome, and the organizers urge attendees to bring picnics and spend the day enjoying music performed by four Medellin-based DJs (who have made a name for themselves in the city through a popular night called ‘Mars to Venus’).

Music will be chilled, Cafe del Mar-style throughout the afternoon to then heat up into a thumping house party expected to last into the early hours of Sunday.

Tickets cost COP20,000 and are available from the Divino clothing store, located on Calle Primavera in Medellin’s Poblado neighbourhood. More information or to purchase tickets here.
