Chinese circus to perfom in Bogota

The Chinese Chengdu Acrobatic Group, an elite group of Chinese acrobats, announced Friday that they will perform in Bogota beginning next week from June 27 to July 17.

The Chinese acrobats have performed for presidents and heads of state, as well as in the opening ceremony for the 2008 Olympics, and are expected to perform an impressive spectacle.

The performance will consist of 14 different routines, each of which will last about seven minutes. The group will also perform “dreams of a child elf,” the acrobatic story of a young restless child who aspires to become the greatest acrobat in the world.

Tickets range from $22 to $77. Performances will be held in Bogota’s Palacio de los Deportes. Subscribers to El Tiempo will receive a 30% discount. Tickets can be bought through ticketexpress.com.co.
