Charlie Sheen, Gene Simmons to come to Colombia for rock festival

U.S. actor Charlie Sheen and a host of rockstars will perform in Bogota as part of tour through South and Central America.

The event will take place May 5 and feature a band comprised of Gene Simmons, from Kiss, Joe Elliot from Def Leppard, Glen Hughes from Deep Purple, Matt Sorum from Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, Mike Inez from Alice In Chains and Steve Stevens from Billy Idol, among others.

The music legends are taking part in the Rock N Roll All-Stars South and Central American tour, due to hit Latin American cities between April and May.

“We thought it would be a great idea to form a band with some of our favorite musicians from the history of rock,” said promoter Gabe Reed, who has organized the event alongside Sorum.

Charlie Sheen will be present in Bogota and is expected to accompany the group on the rest of the tour.

The tour begins April 19 in Asuncion, Paraguay, passing through Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama, before arriving in Colombia.

Tickets for the Bogota concert will be available in the coming days and will cost $165 for “platinum” and $89 for “preference.”
