Book lovers find bargains in Bogota

A Bogota book fair will offer over 5,000 half-price works of fiction, theory, history, economics, law, philosophy and politics to the public from Thursday to Sunday, announced El Espectador.

The first “Great Outlet of Malpensante House Books” will bring together writers, readers and publishers at the Biblos Library from 8AM to 8PM for four days. Malpensante Magazine is putting on the event.

The Biblos Library has been open for 23 years and holds one of the largest collections of books in Bogota.

A variety of publishing houses, including Taschen, Oceano and Alfaguara will also offer some of their own titles at low cost.

Book lovers can mingle with their favorite authors during the fair’s “happy hours” scheduled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3PM to 5PM and on Sunday from 11AM to 1PM.
