Bomb attack kills 2, injures 13

An explosives attack on a store in the south western Colombian city of Tumaco on Saturday killed two and injured 13, local authorities say.

In an interview with RCN Radio, the governor of Nariño, where the attack took place, said the explosion occurred around 9:30PM in a bar near the central square of the town.

“They threw a grenade into a store which resulted in several injured and a death. Police responded and went after a pair of men who had thrown the grenade. They then threw another grenade to the police, which killed an officer,” governor Antonio Navarro said.

The governor said “Los Rastrojos,” a drug gang highly active in the region, is behind the attack.
