President Juan Manuel Santos said Wednesday security forces killed six guerrilla in the west of Colombia.
Speaking via Twitter, Santos said “Six terrorists killed, including alias “Mapanao”, who was held responsible for the Bojaya massacre.”
Authorities had pursued Mapanao for almost ten years, after a 2002 attack left up to 119 civilians dead in the Pacific Choco Department village of Bojaya.
Santos further announced that alias “Cuba” and other members of neo-paramilitary group the “Urabenos,” were arrested on charges of extortion.
