Bogota rebrands with new logo

Bogota rebrands itself with a new logo which is intended to represent the Colombian capital as a top tourist destination, El Tiempo reported Tuesday.

The agency Zea Misty Wells & Associates, which designed the logo, explained that the concept behind the brand is “Bogota is more,” to highlight the strengths the city.

“We want to project ourselves as a city that is at the forefront of the great capitals of the world,” the agency added.

Bogota is more green, more rock, more future and more business, according to Zea Misty Wells & Associates.

“We needed a symbol for why we are a preferred destination and different compared to other competitors,” Nohora Isable Vargas, director of the District Institute of Tourism (DIT) explained.

The idea of the brand is to show Bogota’s potential as a place full of restaurants, plazas, theatres, museums, hotels and leave perceptions of danger and insecurity behind, reports El Tiempo
