Bogota policeman kills woman who ran roadblock

A uniformed policeman on Friday shot and killed a young woman in Bogota after she failed to stop at a road block.

Martinez went on to say that the two police officers involved have been suspended and that the case has been passed on to the Technical Investigation Unit (CTI) of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“We have handed over the men and the weapons to the prosecutor’s office so that they can begin with the relevant investigation” added the commander.

The incident, which claimed the life of 26-year-old Adriana Jimenez, occurred in the southwestern Kennedy neighborhood.
