Bogota mayor meets with Biden

Bogota mayor Samuel Moreno briefly met with U.S. vice-President Joe
Biden Monday on the sideline of a conference in Chicago where Biden held a
speech.

Moreno took the opportunity to tell the vice-President about ‘Positive Bogota’, a government program to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Colombia’s capital.

The Bogotá mayor also elaborated about his city’s plans to use green energy for its public transport and the support for small and medium size companies who are confronted by the effects of the global financial crisis.

Moreno is attending the Global Cities Forum in Chicago until Wednesday.
