Bogota launches new website for tourists

A new interactive website will be launched on Tuesday providing up-to-date information and listings for tourists visiting Colombia’s capital, reports Radio Santa Fe.

The new website, called esBogota.com, was created through a collaboration between the Regional Tourism Institute, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and aims to promote the capital city as an exciting and attractive tourist destination.

The page will be divided into sections such as “Dining”, “Nightlife”, “History and Culture” and “Green” to provide users with the most detailed information on Bogota’s attractions and services, as well as allowing previous visitors to leave ratings and recommend their favorite destinations.

One important characteristic of the website will be its ability to monitor and record the search paths and page-views of its users. This will serve to provide feedback on the aspects which visitors found most interesting and valuable, thus allowing the website to adapt to their needs and “better understand today’s tourist.”

The website will be launched at five o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. To view the page, click here.
