Bogota bus grenade attack kills 1

One person was killed and four injured on Monday night when a grenade was thrown at a bus in a southern neighborhood of Bogota, reported Colombian media.

According to reports, the grenade was launched at the bus around midnight in the San Cristobal neighborhood of the Colombian capital.

Witnesses say that the missile was thrown by a pedestrian, causing an explosion that injured five of the twelve passengers on the bus.

The five wounded people were taken to hospital by emergency services, where one man died of his injuries.

Authorities suspect that the attack was personally motivated, and specifically targeted one of the bus’ passengers.
