Colombia’s capital Bogota is Latin America’s fourth most expensive city for expats, a recently released study showed.
Latin America’s most expensive cities

According to the 2012 Expat Cost of Living Ranking, Bogota stands behind Sao Paulo,
Rio de Janeiro and Caracas.
Worldwide, the Colombian capital climbed eight places to become the 28th most expensive city for expats.
The surge of Bogota is partly due to the euro crisis; all cities within the Eurozone have disappeared from the top 30 because of their currency’s low value.
The world’s most expensive city for expats continues to be Japan’s capital Tokyo, followed by Luanda in Angola and Moscow, Russia.
