Authorities capture over 40 FARC guerrillas

Colombia’s Security Department have allegedly captured over 40 FARC guerrillas in the biggest series of raids across the country in recent days.

The security operations took place across six regions, including the capital Bogota and the departments of Villavicencio and Arauca, reported Colombian media on Monday.

Authorities claim that the group of captured guerrillas belong to the Front 45 of the FARC, who operate predominantly in the East of Colombia.

The militia members are being transported to Bogota where they will face charges of terrorism, rebellion, murder, conspiracy and extortion.
