Army arrests 8 alleged guerrillas in Bogota

The Colombian Army Monday announced it arrested eight suspected guerrillas in Bogota.

The arrested are suspected of being charged with setting up operations to undertake action to retake control of the Cundinamarca department in central Colombia, currently under State control.

According to the army 5th division commander, General Jairo Antonio Herazo, the suspects had received orders from rebel commander ‘Mono Jojoy’.
