Police in Bogota are on high alert after two ex-paramilitary prisoners escaped from the city’s La Picota jail early Thursday morning, reported Colombian media.

One of the escaped prisoners is Dumar de Jesus Guerrero Castillo, alias “Carecuchillo,” – brother of AUC commander and drug trafficker Pedro Oliverio Guerrero, alias “Cuchillo.”

The other escapee was identified as Raumir Rodriguez Trujillo, alias “Tribilin.”

According to early reports the prisoners were being held in the Justice and Peace block of the Bogota penitentiary and made their escape by hiding in a container that was being taken out of the premises.
