Colombia’s biggest music festival releases line-up

Bogota’s Rock in the Park music festival has announced the list of performers that are set to play the event.

Of those scheduled to perform, 28 local bands were selected by a jury headed by music producer Pablo Arraya and social communicator Nicolas Vallejo.

Out of 414 proposed local bands only 42 groups gained the right to the live auditions which took place at the end of May. After further selection rounds, only 28 groups made it through.

The selected bands will now get a chance to play Colombia’s biggest music festival, which is due to take place on June 30 to July 2 in Bogota’s Simon Bolivar Park.

in addition to the selected groups, internationally renowned artists such as NOFX, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Blonde Redhead and Charly Garcia, among others are set to play as are Colombian groups Systema Solar, and Seis Peatones.
