Colombia’s State Council demanded that the votes which reelected the country’s Inspector General be made public, reported local media on Friday.
According to Caracol Radio, Colombia’s State Council has asked that a judge deem whether or not the reelection of Alejandro Ordoñez went according to constitutional protocol. Prior to the State Council’s lawsuit protesting the reelection, they claim Congress ignored the complaints of some parliamentarians.
Judge Mauricio Torres will decide if the Inspector General’s reelection was adjusted to and satisfied legislative and Constitutional bylaws.
The November reelection of Colombia‘s Alejandro Ordoñez, the chief investigator of corruption within government and congress, was tarnished by cronyism accusations.
