Calls confirm Valencia Cossio’s ties to ‘Don Mario’: Prosecution

The Prosecutor General said evidence of phone conversations between
Guillermo Valencia Cossio and paramilitary ‘el Indio’ proves that the
former Medellin director of prosecution had ties to drug lord ‘Don
Mario’.

Prosecution investigator Juan
Carlos Mora Casallas said Friday that the voices of both Valencia
Cossio and ‘el Indio’ were analyzed and identified as the voices speaking in recorded phone conversations.

‘El Indio’ is believed to have been the right hand man of captured drug king pin ‘Don Mario’.

Valencia
Cossio, whose brother is the current Interior and Justice Minister, is
on trial for various corruption-related counts resulting from his alleged
relationship with ‘Don Mario’.
