Police seize over $2.5M in fake bills in Bogota

Police have seized more than $2.5 million worth of counterfeit bills and arrested two Colombians during a raid on a clandestine printing factory in Bogota, reported El Espectador.

In the joint operation between Colombia’s Technical Investigation Unit (CIT), Europol and the Spanish Judicial Police, police found forged dollar bills, euros and Colombian pesos, that would have been introduced into their respective economies.

Police also seized lithography equipment, inks, plates and negatives along with other printing objects.

Last week, police found almost $2.5 million in counterfeit bills in a similar raid in Bogota.
