Police capture 11 alleged members of illegal gang ‘Jabon’

Colombia’s anti-drug police captured in Bogota on Friday 11 suspected members of the gang of late narco-paramilitary boss ‘Jabon’.

According to prosecution lawyers the group of captives, allegedly belonging to the gang once fronted by the late kingpin Wilber Alirio Varela, alias “Jabon”, had the means to send between 10 and 13 tons of heroin a month to Central America, its final destination being the United States.

The 11 suspects are to be brought before a Warranty Control Judge to legalize the detainments and impose charges, reported news station Radio Santa Fe.
