U.K. singer Paul McCartney’s broke all Colombian ticket sales records Tuesday and caused massive queues of fans trying to see the ex-Beatle’s first concert in the country ever.
According to local media, some 17,000 tickets were sold 30 minutes after offices opened and in some cities people stood in line for eight hours to get their hands on the little paper giving access to McCartney’s April 19 concert.
While fans were massively buying tickets, the Bogota government warned that the organizers had still not signed an agreement to use the capital city’s main stadium, El Campin.
Unless the city government and organizers are not able to agree on the use of the venue, the ex-Beatle will perform for some 29,000 Colombians who paid in between $40 and $450 for a ticket.
