North Colombia earthquakes injure 8

Eight people were injured in a series of earthquakes that hit the north of Colombia on Wednesday and Thursday.

The earthquakes took place within a 20-hour time span in the departments of Cesar, Antioquia and Santander.

The strongest earthquake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale and injured eight construction workers in the Caribbean town of Necocli who were on a metal structure that collapsed because of the earthquake.
