Cesar department picks Miss Colombia candidate

The Cesar department selected its beauty candidate for the national Miss Colombia pageant that will be held in the Caribbean city of Cartagena.

Maria Laura, a 22-year-old student studying government and international relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogota was designated as the northern Cesar department’s beauty queen.

Laura was honored to receive the nomination, and said “I will receive this designation with all humility and God’s blessing. I will be a worthy representative of Cesar in the national pageant; and of the women in this region who have a spirit of excellence and an entrepreneurial mindset.”

Miss Cesar is the daughter of an architect and painter.
