Mexican Institute of Sound to play in Bogota

Experimental DJ project the Mexican Institute of Sound (MIS) will be performing in Bogota next week.

Describable only as a “music project,” the MIS was founded by Mexico City-based DJ Camilo Lara, who coordinates collaborations between modern dance-music artists, as well as creating remixes and distortions of old classics from the 60s and 80s.

Lara is now recognized as one of Mexico’s leading electronic musicians and is traveling to Colombia’s capital to spread his avant-garde sounds. Fans can expect to hear tracks taken from the project’s most recent album “Soy Sauce.”

The concert will take place at the city’s Armando Records club on April 22. Tickets cost COP20,000.
