Medellin stays awake for 24 hours

This Saturday Medellin will keep its shops open all night and offer cultural activities until 4AM as part of the annual “Medellin Awake for Life” event.

Residents and tourists will be able to enjoy a selection of more than 30 cultural activities offered in different parts of the city.

Medellin’s shopping malls will be open 24 hours and the metro service will also run during the whole night.

Those who still haven’t seen the city’s Christmas decorations can do so until 4AM.

The local soccer stadium will offer a late-night concerts of local bands like El Dental, Coffee Makers, Rey Gordiflon, La Toma and Nepentes.”Make many children happy during Christmas” is the slogan of the solidarity concert, “Jingle Bell Rock Medellin,” and the performers will invite the public to donate a present to a poor child.
