Italian club signs Colombian midfielder Pabon

After a brilliant season with Medellin’s Atletico Nacional side, Colombian midfielder Dorlan Pabon inked a deal Thursday with Italian squad Parma F.C.

The 24-year-old talent signed a five-year deal worth approximately $6.2 million.

“It is with great satisfaction that we announce the acquisition of Colombian striker Dorlan Pabon from Atletico Nacional Medellin,” read a statement from Parma.

The young attacking midfielder enjoyed a productive campaign this year, notching 15 goals in 19 games, seven of which came during the South American club tournament, the Copa Libertadores. Nacional was knocked out in the round of 16 this season.

Since joining Nacional from Envigado in 2010, Pabon has shined, tallying an impressive 50 goals in 71 appearances for “Los Verdes.”
