FARC threatens passengers, burns 2 buses

Members of the FARC’s 36th Front set fire to two buses Thursday in Colombia’s northern department of Antioquia.

The attack occured between the villages of Puerto Valdivia and Taraza where the guerrillas intimidated drivers and burned the buses.

Police commander Colonel Jose Gerardo Acevedo Ossa said that the area was inspected, and the road was cleared after several hours.

The FARC’s 36th Front was implicated by authorities in the bombing of two energy towers in the same department on Tuesday.
