East Colombia motorcycle bomb injures 7

Four soldiers and three civilians were injured when a motorcycle bomb exploded in a village in the east of Colombia Saturday.

The bomb was detonated in the village of Puerto Jordon on the road from Arauca to Mate.

Among the injured are a 6-year old and an 11-year old child.

All seven victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of the injured soldiers was taken to the capital Bogota because of the seriousness of his injuries.

The commander of the army’s 28th brigade said in a press release that the attack was carried out by the FARC’s 10th front.
