Copa Mustang: Bad day for Bogotá

It was a bad day for Bogotá football as Millonarios first crashed to
yet another defeat, this time to the hands of Atlético Huila, while
Santa Fé were held to a draw by Envigado.

Junior meanwhile, are likely
to lose their lead following a 1-1 result at Once Caldas.

About an hour had been played in Manizales when Junior finally broke the deadlock through Teofilo Gutierrez, but the Barranquilla outfit didn’t get much time to enjoy their advantage as Ariel Carreño levelled two minutes later.

América, who visit Deportivo Pasto, and Chicó who host Independiente Medellín, now have a chance to take distance from Junior on Sunday.

Santa Fé took a 1-0 lead versus Envigado, through Luis Mosquera in the 47th minute. But things changed following a red card for Andrés González, and Jorge Serna netted the equalize in minute 68.

Troubled Millonarios may well end the week in last place. At Huila, Oscar Quintabani’s men did take the lead through Carmelo Valencia just before the break but Carlos Marinelli’s red card in the 53rd minute meant a turning point in the match. Iván Velásquez equalised for Huila in the 70th minute and Jorge Vidal’s beautiful strike from outside the penalty area won the game in the 83rd, 2-1.
