Colombian singer ‘Marbelle’ bares bottom to neighbor

Colombian singer Mauren Belky Ramírez, better known as Marbelle, pleaded not guilty to charges that she assaulted her neighbor.

The singer, known also for her prolific plastic surgeries, is accused of attacking neighbor Viviana Uribe in the parking lot of the residential complex in Northern Bogota where they both live.

Uribe testified that Belky hit her many times and broke several windows in the apartment complex. Belky then removed her pants while continuing to hurl insults at her neighbors, Uribe said.

“She attacked all of the neighbors,” she said. “Then threatened to kill us, and threatened to kill me.”

The altercation occurred in April 2009, but since then the singer and Uribe were unable to reconcile, which is why formal charges were brought against Belky Friday, Radio Caracol reported. In addition to the assault charges, Belky also faces charges of slander and damage to personal property.

In a previous interview with Radio Caracol about the fracas, Belky admitted to hitting Uribe but only after her neighbor called her a “prostitute.”

“She said ‘I was prostituting to get my house and my car,’” Belky said. The kerfuffle started, Belky said, when Uribe blocked in Belky’s car.

Belky said Uribe also insulted her mother, which is what caused her to grab her neighbor’s hair and “slap” her. She denied that her “slap” caused any sort of head trauma to Uribe, and said that her neighbor is envious because of her “fame.”

Belky did admit to showing her bare bottom.

“It is true that I unzipped my pants,” Belky said. “But I just showed her my tail in derision.”
