Colombia to simplify visa procedure

Colombia will simplify visa procedures for tourists, students and
investors to allow a further increase in foreigners visiting the
country, announced Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez.

“We seek to facilitate the procedure for foreigners. 87 countries are now free to enter the country without a visa,” Bermudez said in a press release.

“We are interested that more foreigners visit us, make businesses and invest in Colombia,” the Minister added.

Colombia has a steadily growing tourism industry and one of the economic cornerstones of the current administration is foreign investment in the country that until recently was mostly famous for drugs and violence.
