Colombia police seize 2nd ‘Zetas cocaine stash’ in week

Colombian Police said Saturday they have seized almost a ton of cocaine meant for Mexican drug cartel “Los Zetas” in the northern Colombian city of Cartagena.

The seizure of drugs allegedly belonging to Colombian neo-paramilitary organization “Los Urabeños” is the second in the port of Cartagena this week. On Monday, 1.5 tons of cocaine — allegedly also meant for the Zetas — was seized on the same location.

According to Colombia’s anti-narcotics police director, General Luis Alberto Perez, his unit has begun investigating whether the Urabeños, the largest neo-paramilitary group in the country, have infiltrated the Caribbean port.
