Colombia’s Bomba Estereo kicks off US tour in March

Colombian band Bomba Estereo will kick off another U.S. tour on March 30, this time to promote their 2012 album “Elegancia Tropical.”

The band was founded in the Colombia’s capital of Bogota in 2001, and is known for their “tropical electro” music style, will perform hits from their album “Elegancia Tropical”, which ranks in the top 10 of 2012 albums.

Their 2013 U.S. tour will premier at the Crystal Bay Casino in Nevada before hitting the road to play in several other cities, including Washington D.C., Miami, Seattle, New York, Chicago, Austin and more, before arriving in Nelsonville, Ohio on April 16.

Bomba Estereo gained popularity in the U.S. after appearing at the famous Bonnaroo and South by Southwest festivals in 2010. In the same year they were chosen by MTV Iggy as the best new band.

Bomba Estereo also performed at Austin City Limits music festival in 2011 and Outside Lands in San Fransisco in 2012. Their songs have also appeared on the television show, Dexter, and in the film, Limitless.
