Cali mayor faces prison too

One day after after the mayor of Barranquilla was warned he’d be
sent to jail if he did not comply with a local judge’s ruling, Cali
mayor Jorge Ivan Ospina heard the same.

The mayor will have to spent thirty days in jail if he doesn’t comply with a local judge’s ruling on the help of 22 victims of a landslide. If not, the judge will consider him in contempt of court and the mayor will have to spend a month behind bars.

The Barranquilla mayor was told the same earlier this week after failing to give vendors a new place for their business.
