Bogota mayor to be interrogated over corruption allegations

Colombia’s Prosecutor General will call Bogota mayor Samuel Moreno for questioning over mounting allegations of corruption withing in administration, W Radio reported on Monday.

Gustavo Petro, member of the same Polo Democratico party of Moreno, businessman Miguel Nule and Polo councilmember Carlos Vicente de la Roux, who accused the mayor of corruption, will also be asked to give testimony, said the radio station.

A prosecutor specialized in public works will be assigned to the case, as Moreno is accused of having received money from companies in return of granting them government projects.
