Bogota man caught transporting mother’s remains in street vendor cart

Bogota police captured a man transporting the remains of his mother in a fast food vending cart through the Kennedy district of Bogota Monday night.

Authorities questioned the man after they received reports of a foul odor emanating from his  cart.  Upon questioning, the man quickly confessed that the cart, which he had sealed in concrete, was carrying the remains of his recently deceased mother.

The man claimed that his mother had died falling down the stairs and that he had reported the disappearance of the woman to the authorities.

The man was transported to a police station but has not been charged with murder at this time, as the police are still working to determine the woman’s identity and cause of death.
