Army rescues three hostages

The Colombian army claims to have rescued three hostages who were held by the country’s second largest rebel group ELN.

According to the military, the three civilians were rescued from ELN captivity in the west Colombia Chocó department.

Guerrillas and soldiers exchanged fire, but no rebels or members of the military were killed.
