América beat Junior while Bogotá and Medellín share the points

Junior Barranquilla could well drop a few spots this weekend following
a painful 3-0 defeat by América de Cali, who in turn remain alive for a
top-eight finish.

Gustavo Ramos put América ahead after just eight minutes and Wilmer Parra made it 2-0 in the 66th. The third and final goal came three minutes later as Ramos added another to his personal account.

América are now in tenth position, but the gap with the teams ahead are small.

Independiente Medellín gave away a lead to draw 1-1 with Millonarios at Atanasio Girardot stadium. Diego Cabrera scored the opener in DIM’s favor after 50 minutes but Cristhian Subero equalised 15 minutes later.

The other Bogota-Medellín clash, between Santa Fe and Nacional, had the same final result. Giovanni Moreno gave the away side the lead on 23 minutes but Omar Pérez made it 1-1 in the 36th.

Nacional had a good chance to score a second just before half time but Aldo Ramírez’ penalty kick ended up on the crossbar.
