One of Colombia’s hottest bands, Monsieur Perine, released a new video this Thursday
A self-described “experimental laboratory of popular music with an old school spirit,” the Bogota-based group is led by Catalina Garcia who sings in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English.
Monsieur Perine’s unique blend of sounds and emotions has earned itself its own genre called “Suin a la Colombiana,” which is a cultural, artistic, and rhythmic fusion of traditional Latin American music, Jazz, and a French adaptation of American swing music.
The group released their new video for the song “Suin Romanticon” at Thursday’s concert in Bogota. It is available on their Facebook page and website.
Monsieur Perine will be performing on March 14, 15, 16 at the SWSX music festival in Texas and at the Estereo Picnic music festival in Bogota on March 30.
