Colombians overwhelmingly disapprove of the President Juan Manuel Santos’s handling of the country, especially in regards to unemployment, peace talks with rebel group FARC and recent strikes, according to a new poll.
A nationwide poll released Thursday estimates that 68% of Colombia disapprove of the job Santos has done as president, with 77% disapproving of his approach to the agricultural strikes that began August 19th.
The results build on a recent Gallup poll placing President Santos’ urban approval rating at 25%, half of his previous low.

The newest poll also says that 63% disapprove of the state of the ongoing peace process with the FARC rebel group.
80% of participants disapprove of his approach to unemployment, with 74% disapproving of his greater approach to poverty-related issues.
77% of participants, meanwhile, said they would not vote for Santos should he decide to run for reelection, as he is expected to. The Good Government political action group was set to announce the start of its reelection fundraising efforts last month, but the press event was cancelled in the midst of ongoing nationwide protests.
The scope of the poll is limited, as surveys were only conducted in six cities across the country.
