Altavoz music festival back for more in Medellin

The Medellin Mayors Office presents the 8th annual Altavoz International Music Festival, planned to rock the city for three full days of live music from October 15-17.

Altavoz will be held at the Estadio Cincuentenario in Medellin, and will be feature 35 international and national bands over the three day weekend.

Entrance to the event is absolutely free for all who wish to join.

International bands include Argentine electronic tango spectacular Bajofondo, English punk band The Adicts, Spanish death metal band Avulsed, Ecuadorean hardcore metal group Descomunal, as well as Mexican alternative rock group Molotov and alternative electorock band Plastilina Mosh.

Headlining the festival on Saturday, October 15, will be Medellin bands Zdey and Mr. Bleat, with Plastilina Mosh to end the night.

Bands to rock the Sunday late-night shift will be Medellin rockers G.P and Desadaptadoz, as well as English band The Adicts.

The final day of the festival, Monday October 17, will close with shows by reggae jam band The Positive Vibration, Superlitio from Cali, and a live electronic tango performance by Bajofondo.
