The Russian National Ballet company will dance into Medellin on June 10, with 20 ballerinas offering some of the most famous classical sequences in the world, according to an official press release.
The award-winning, Moscow-based company will offer two shows, both at 8:00 PM, on June 10 and 11 at the Pablo Tobon Uribe theater in the city’s center.
Famous pieces performed will include “Swan Lake,” “Walpurgis Night” and “The Specter of the Rose,” choreographed by well-known classical ballet dancer Viatcheslav Gordeev and directed by Davydov Victor.
The theater will also present a free, public dance class with the company’s entire cast present on June 9 at 7PM, with the goal of bringing art closer to the citizens of Medellin.
Tickets for the concert can be bought online or at the theater located on Carrera 40 No. 51-24 in El Centro.
