8 killed, 4 injured in southwest-Colombia massacre

At least eight people were killed and another four injured in a shooting in the southwest-Colombian department of Nariño.

The incident took place in a pool hall just outside Colon, a village in the north of the department, Saturday just before midnight.

According to one of the survivors, a group of approximately 12 armed men, some wearing camouflage clothing, entered the establishment and without a word shot those present.

Authorities on Sunday said they have started an investigation and do not rule out the shooting was a retaliation between drug trafficking organizations.
