6 Colombian nationals to be extradited to US, Peru

The Colombian government has authorized the extradition of six Colombian nationals to foreign countries, where they are wanted for various crimes.

President Juan Manuel Santos confirmed that five of the people to be extradited will be taken to the United States, with one other being extradited to Peru.

The Colombian citizen to be extradited to Peru, Gilma Montenegro Vallejos, will face charges of illegal arms trading and conspiracy against the state of Peru, by the Third Criminal Court of Lima.

Two of those wanted in the United States, Jacinta Enrique Baez Baez and Santiago Noreña Mesa, are being extradited for federal drug offenses.

Two others are wanted in Florida for drug trafficking, Jose Benito Villareal Ramirez and Johnny Luis Duarte. The final prisoner, Arnulfo Sanchez Gonzalez is wanted in the United States for crimes of drug trafficking and terrorism.
