5.4 earthquake hits central-northeast Colombia

A earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit the central-northeast of Colombia Saturday, leaving no registered damages or injuries.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in Los Santos, a municipality some 15 miles south of Colombia’s 5th largest city Bucaramanga.

According to geological authorities, the took place Saturday only minutes after midnight.

Local media reported that the earthquake was felt in the capital Bogota.
