3 policemen, 2 guerrillas die in east Colombia combat

An attack of ELN guerrillas on a village in the east Colombia
department of Boyacá left three policemen and two guerrillas dead. No
civilians were injured, local authorities say.

The guerrilla attack took place in Cubará, a municipality in the north east of the department and no more than ten mile from the Venezuelan border.

Mayor Samuel Bohorquez regretted the disturbance of peace in his municipality, but told Caracol Radio he was happy that no civilias were killed or wounded.

The armed forces sent reinforcement to the area to restore order.
