27 ‘Los Rastrojos’ members caught by Colombian authorities across 3 cities

Colombian authorities have arrested 18 members of drug gang “Los Rastrojos” in the cities of Barranquilla, Cali and Popayan, and caught nine others participating in illegal activities from prison, various media reported Thursday.

The largest bust was in Barranquilla, the capital of the northern Atlantico department, where 18 suspected Rastrojos members were caught participating in criminal acts, nine of whom were already imprisoned and continued to be involved in the gang’s criminal activities from within, reported Barranquilla police commander General O

Meanwhile, police in the southwestern city of Popayan, Cauca department reported the capture of the city’s Rastrojos coordinator alias “Piraño,” who is also reported to be in charge of drug laboratories in the department.

Seventy-Seven miles north of Popayan in Cauca’s capital city of Cali, police commander General Miguel Angel Bojaca announced that eight Los Rastrojos members have recently been captured, including alleged financial boss, alias “Cabo,” and an international representative for the gang, alias “Rodolfo.”
