25 dead after second consecutive violent weekend in Bogota

25 people were murdered in Bogota this weekend, local media reported Tuesday. It is the second weekend in a row of increased deadly violence in Colombia’s capital.

According to local media, a report by prosecution investigators shows 15 people were killed by firearms and eight by knives. The cause of death of two young homeless girls is still being investigated.

Last weekend, media reported 27 people were murdered in the capital in what seems to be an increase in murders.
