$2.47M in fake bills found in Bogota

$2.47 million worth of counterfeit American bills were seized from a clandestine money printing factory in Bogota, reported Radio Santa Fe.

The Prosecutor General’s Office announced on Monday that their investigative body, the CTI, discovered the printing factory in the suburb of La Joyita, in the south of the Colombian capital.

Bills of all different denominations were seized as well as paper money, plates, negatives, ink and lithography machines.

No arrests have been made yet.

Earlier this year authorities discovered $400,000 worth of counterfeit dollar bills also in Bogota.
