A report by the Emergency Department in the Huila department specified that in the past five days, “there was a total of 197 seismic events. Of these, 64 are associated with fracturing of rock and 127 relate to the fluid dynamics inside the ducts and six low tremor volcanic pulses of magnitude. ”

The “yellow alert” means that the volcano “is moving and is increasing its seismic activity,” said Elizabeth Hernandez, director of emergencies in Huila.

In the morning, there were two eruptions which generated avalanches of mud on the Paez River.
